Dear Birthmother,

We know the love you have for your child and that your decision was not made easily in wanting what is best for your child. We would love to help you through this journey and build a relationship with you that will last over our child’s lifetime.  Our lives have changed forever through the miracle of adoption in 2008 when we were selected by an amazing birthmother.  Two months later, our daughter Brianna was born. We have enjoyed watching her grow from a tiny infant to a thriving toddler and our heart’s desire is for another child and to see our children grow up together.
 
We met on the internet and from that first message, we formed a connection.  After a month of communicating and getting to know each other, we met for dinner and it was love at first sight.  We became engaged on our one year anniversary and then married on a beautiful summer day in Andrea’s family church.
  
We live in a ranch style home with 3 bedrooms and have worked hard to make our house a home. We live on a quiet street perfect for children to play.  One reason we chose the town we live in was because of the wonderful school system. We believe that education is a top priority for our children.  Our favorite room is our family room where we enjoy playing with our daughter, watching a movie or reading the newspaper. We also enjoy sitting on the back deck feeling the breeze blow by and listening to the wild turkeys.

Kris has a Master’s in Business Administration and is an engineer who works with airplane engines.  Kris’s job allows him to work both in the office and from home, so he is able to spend a lot of time helping at home.  Andrea is a high school math teacher who also graduated with her Master’s degree in Special Education.  While Andrea continues to work, she has many days off during the school year and plenty of time during the summer to be at home with our children.
Kris loves to draw, especially while sitting on our front porch.  He also has a love for Disney and Goofy is his favorite character.  We have an ever-growing collection of Disney movies that we enjoy watching on family nights.  Andrea grew up with a father who would watch football and NASCAR therefore she loves watching sports and she is a big Cowboys fan.  We went to our first NASCAR race in 2007.  Andrea also loves to bake and sweet smells can often be found drifting through the house.   

Every summer we travel to new places such as Sea World in Florida.  We have traveled to Bermuda, Hawaii, Florida, Virginia Beach and Texas. We also like spending time at Kris’s parents’ lake house where we fish, cruise around the lake in their boat, and feed the ducks.  
You are a strong woman for opening your heart to adoption and you will always hold a special place in our hearts and the heart of your child forever.
