Dear Birthmother/Heroine,
The definition of Heroine is: A woman who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown great courage, strength of character, or other admirable quality. The decisions that face you are what make you a Heroine in our eyes and we cannot find words to express our admiration. We can however, share some information about ourselves to give you peace and confidence in your decision if we are to be your child's adoptive family.
We are Terry and Kodi. We are best friends who love to make each other laugh everyday. We love music! Kodi likes everything from the Dixie Chicks to Eminem. Terry tends to listen to more hard stuff like Foo Fighters or something different like Los Lobos. Our adopted daughter Olivia who was born in June of 2007, loves Pink, Taylor Swift, and Christina Aguilera.
We love being outdoors and doing things together. During the summer months we ride bikes, have cookouts, and take trips to the beach. In the fall it's time for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows on the fire pit while cheering on our favorite football team. During winter, we enjoy snow sledding or skiing and drinking hot chocolate. But sometimes we just like "hangin out" eating popcorn and watching a movie, or watching the latest music videos while showing off our latest dance moves (not always pretty...but always fun). We all like playing WII too. Olivia can beat Daddy at bowling but he still wins at golfing.
We feel that family and faith are the most important things in our life. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all live close to us. We have a very strong bond with our entire family and love spending time together. Kodi's parents now live only about ten minutes away. They decided to move closer once we brought Olivia home from Guatemala. Olivia sees her Nana and Pap often and likes to playfully aggravate them both (boss them around). Terry's mother (Abuela) is close by as well and visits often to spoil her granddaughter. Our entire family has been very supportive of our adoption of Olivia. They all love her greatly and cannot wait for another child to share their love with, dote on and spoil.
We hope this letter has given you some idea about our fun life together, and the nurturing love we want to share with another child. We strongly believe that God is leading us toward each other, and that it will be your heart which will tell you if we are meant to be your child's adoptive parents. Our hearts have already spoken to us.
Sincerely (Sinceramente),
Terry, Kodi & Olivia
