Martin and Pamela
Nickname(s): Marty and Pam

Dear Birthmother,

We are not exactly sure where to begin because there is so much to say, so we would like to start with “Thank You”. Thanks for taking the time to consider us during this emotional crossroads in your life. Your decision will impact us all in a very powerful way, so again, Thank You!

Marty and I have been married since 1999, but we have been together for fifteen years. We met at work when we were both managers at a video store. It seems like so long ago, but we have never lost our love of movies. Marty has since changed careers and is now a Public Insurance Adjuster. I chose to stay in retail and am currently a District Sales Manager for a National Beauty Company. Needless to say, we have a great insurance policy and plenty of beauty products! What is missing for us is being a mom and a dad. Sharing everything we have and everything we are with a child is all that we can think about.

Shortly after we married, we started dreaming of adding a child to our family. The thoughts of throwing a football in the yard or playing dress up made us smile. The day couldn’t come soon enough. Unfortunately, after a year of trying, the doctors finally shared the heartbreaking news that we would not be able to conceive naturally. Our passion for children led us to In-vitro, but with no success. We knew that our family would not be complete until we were able to share our unconditional love with a child. This is where our path will cross with yours, and we feel truly blessed. Your choice will give us the opportunity to have the family we have dreamed about for years.

We live in a three bedroom farmhouse on 4.5 acres of beautiful land. Our home is in a small community at the base of some of the most gorgeous mountains around. We are only two miles from hiking trails where we plan to take hikes and teach our children to appreciate nature. Deer and rabbits visit our property frequently and the sounds of crickets fill the night air. It is a beautiful place to live. We have a large fenced in yard and we already know exactly where we will put a play set. Our two Golden Retrievers, Cooper and Reiley, love children and will be excited to share the yard with a new member of the family. We also have a pool and plenty of open space for outdoor adventures of all kinds. There is also a community park one mile from our house where our children will be able to play tee-ball and soccer with the other children in the neighborhood. We talk about what it will be like to take our son or daughter to their first game and be the proud parents in the bleachers.

Marty and I are blessed to have our families close by. My parents are six miles away and Marty’s parents are only minutes away. We also have extended families close by, so weekends are usually filled with picnics, parties and BBQs. We can already imagine our child eating hotdogs and popsicles with the whole family. We can already see the Grandparents, all four of them, competing for time with their grandchild. Since we have a pool, most of the summer gatherings happen here. Marty loves to grill and I love to cook anything Southwestern or Mexican, so the menu is always fun! We even have a cabinet filled with Play-Doh, sippy cups and coloring books for the nieces and nephews. It’s always fun! We would love the opportunity to share this strong sense of family with your child.

Your child will be the greatest gift we could ever receive. We hope you know how much love and security we will provide. This will change our lives forever, for the BETTER! We thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We pray everyday for the blessing of a child in our lives and we also pray for you during this very difficult time.
