Dear Birthmother,

As you prepare yourself for this journey, we send you supportive and caring thoughts, and a chance to get to know us better through this letter. We are a happily married couple who strongly desire another child to join our family. We truly admire your bravery in deciding to give your baby the chance to experience life and deciding that adoption is a wonderful and blessed choice.

We met at work twelve years ago and became great friends. We fell in love and within two years we were married. Building a family was always important to us and after a few years of trying to conceive, our miracle son Nolan was born in February 2007. He truly is a blessing and a joy in our lives. It is impossible for us to have any more biological children. However, our wish is to have another child to love and to complete our family. Our hearts swell with the idea of two little ones in our arms, and the joyous thoughts of watching them grow up together. 

Rob works as the Director of Finance for a medical practice located close to home. Laura is a stay-at-home mom. Laura fills the days with play dates, story time at the library, arts and crafts, Mommy and Me classes, and playing in the yard. Rob can’t wait to get home to play and to hear about their day's adventures. We love to take day trips whenever possible, and also enjoy local town events. Our weekends are spent together as a family, most of it outdoors - fishing, puddle jumping, ball chasing, searching for bugs, and getting together with family and friends. 

We own a three-bedroom home that we renovated. It has a wonderful yard in a quiet, wooded suburb close to beautiful lakes and a state park, yet only an hour from a big city. We chose the house for the community and school system, planning ahead for the children who would one day fill the rooms.

We are very close to our family and friends. Rob’s family is only minutes away and Laura’s family lives across various states; however, they talk daily on the phone or via webcam. We also have a small extended family that we see as often as possible. Our family and friends can’t wait to share their love and traditions with the new addition to our family.

We have a strong marriage, and a loving and caring family. Our home is filled with sounds of little giggles, all kinds of music, children's books and toys. We make it a point to carry on traditions and make our own, find the good in everything, and enjoy life. You have a difficult decision and we respect the time you are taking to make it. We would be so honored if you choose to select us. Our family will be completed through the adoption of your child, who will always know the wonderful story of how we came to be a family of four.
