Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and for considering us in what may be the most important decision you ever make.  We look forward to learning more about you and promise that your child will grow up knowing what a courageous and selfless decision you made.  We hope that after learning more about us, you will allow us to share our lives and our love with your child. 

We are Joe and Sari, and we have been together for ten years.  We were introduced to each other through one of Joe’s best childhood friends, who is married to Sari’s older sister.  We fell in love rather quickly and were married in 2004.  Our relationship is based on mutual respect and we are each other’s best friend.  Our son Rocco was born in 2005 and his sister Bella joined us in 2008.  They have filled our home and lives with joy and happiness.   

We have had our share of heartaches in our attempt to grow our loving family.  We lost our second child, Lorenzo shortly after his birth and have had several miscarriages.  Our love for each other, the loving support of our family and friends and our belief in God have all served us well as we continue our mission of building a large and loving family.  

We are both from tightly-knit families.  Joe and his two sisters were adopted at birth by his adoptive parents.  From this, we intimately understand the experiences your child will encounter and how important the family environment is for a child’s happiness.  Sari has four sisters and a brother and she considers them as her closest friends.  Her mother lives in the same town and spends a great deal of time with us and our children.  Joe’s parents also live nearby and Joe and his father own and operate a family business together which is only a short drive from our home, so we are able to sit down for dinner every night as a family. 

Sari is a stay-at-home mother.  She loves spending her days with Rocco and Bella.  Their time is spent together at playgroups with our strong circle of friends, playing at the park and doing many arts and crafts projects.  As a family, we like to travel and enjoy hiking, swimming and skiing.  Much of our time together is at home among family and friends.  We are both avid chefs and enjoy exploring foods of many cultures. 

We live in the historic riverside community where Joe grew up.  It is a great place to live and to raise children.  Our neighborhood is safe and filled with many families.  We are committed parents who believe in providing the opportunity for our children to follow their dreams.  While we are fortunate enough to be able to provide many comforts, we believe that a safe and loving environment is the most important.   

You are certainly faced with a challenging decision and we appreciate your consideration of our family.  We hope you find comfort in knowing that if you choose us to raise your child, we promise our unconditional love and the best life for your child that we can provide.
