Dear Birth Mother,

Are you wondering what kind of life your baby will have? We know your adoption journey is a long and bumpy road and we admire you for being so brave and bringing this child into the world. We want to be there to support you through this stressful time. We too have been on a long and bumpy road in trying to complete our family and as we meet at the crossroads in our journeys, we pray that God has led us both here so that we can take this journey together and assure you of the wonderful life your baby will have.

What will life be like for your baby?  Our home is an exciting place for a child. It is full of laughter and love. As a family we enjoy the outdoors; camping, playing with our son on the swing set, kicking the soccer ball, or playing catch. In the summer we often are in the subdivision pool, playing tennis, or heading out to a family BBQ. We like catching a baseball game or just going for ice cream. Our evenings are busy during the school year with homework, religion class, scouts, hockey or soccer. When we are ready to relax we enjoy going on vacation. Our favorite place is our time share in Colorado; it is always a fun time on the slopes.

How did it all begin? We met in high school while working on a class project. We looked into each other’s eyes and have been together ever since. We married and two years later we were blessed with the birth of our son. We never could have imagined how much we would love every moment of parenting. Each day is an exciting challenge filling your heart full of pride and joy and we quickly knew we wanted more children. After eight miscarriages and medical tests we are left with an even greater yearning for another child.  We are hoping a beautiful adoption will complete our family. Adoption is a part of our extended family which consists of over a hundred members, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our newest member. Our son will be a great big brother and has already chosen the book he wants to read his baby brother or sister. We are excited to share our hearts, love and time with another little one.

Nicole is a certified teacher but in order to be a stay-at-home mom, she works part-time as a Parent Educator (within the Early Childhood program) for a local school district.  She visits with families with children from birth to Kindergarten age and shows them ways to educate their children and assess their development. Nicole also volunteers on the PTO board at our son’s school and teaches religion class for second graders. She enjoys long walks, reading, sports, and decorating, entertaining and playing games in her spare time. Greg is a web designer who enjoys the flexibility and challenges it provides. He also is very handy and loves to build and fix things around the house; taking the time to teach our son as he works on different projects. Greg enjoys volunteering to help with all of our son’s activities so that they can spend time together. We enjoy spending time together as a family, whether it’s as simple as staying home and playing games, or going on outings and vacations.

We hope you have learned a little about us and how your baby will receive so much love as a part of our exciting family. You are so brave for making such a hard decision. We look forward to learning more about you and traveling down this path together on the beautiful journey of adoption.
