Nickname(s): Steve and Stephanie

Dear Birthmother,

Hello, our names are Stephanie and Steve. We want to thank you for reading our letter and for considering us as adoptive parents to your baby girl. We know how extremely precious life is and we thank you for choosing to give life to your child. We would like you to know that if you give us this opportunity, your little girl will be loved and cared for unconditionally. She will know of the sacrifice you made and how she became a part of our family.

We would like to give you some insight into who we are, and hopefully after reading about us, you will have a better understanding of the life your child will have with us. Steve and I met in 1996 on a blind date and knew we had found our “soulmates”. Finding each other from opposite ends of the coast was a miracle in itself and we were happily married in 1997! Our true desire was to start building a family together and our “angel” Gabriel was born during the blizzard of 2000! We love each other very much and have a very happy life together. We love being parents and had always hoped that our family would grow. Unfortunately, due to medical problems, we can no longer have another child and have therefore decided to adopt. We would love to give our son the gift of a little sister to love and go through life with.

We both come from very supportive families and have strong ties to our family roots. We were both raised with strong family ethics and share similar family values. We both realize the importance of accepting people for who they are, displaying patience and understanding, providing room for growth, and always being available both physically and emotionally.

Both Steve are I are very active, as we both grew up involved in high school and college sports. As a result we both stay active participating in activities we can do together as a family, such as taking neighborhood walks together, local hikes especially to the “Children’s Museum”, beach trips with our best friends, or enjoying backyard frisbee and swimming. We live in a wonderful home in an old historic town located on the water. Activities surround us from dance and art classes to a historic Main Street where we go for ice cream. We also live close to athletic fields where we can run laps at the local track. Our town offers great schools where our children will have all of the opportunities they will need to explore their interests, whatever they might be.

Steve is an architect and loves his job. In his spare time, he plays his guitar or creates a new Italian dish we can prepare together for dinner. Steve is a devoted husband, my best friend and a passionate father who is actively involved in our son’s life. He always takes time in his busy schedule to stop and play with our son. He talks with him about his day, plays “chase” and Legos, reads bedtime stories and says prayers with him. He always tells him “he loves him” and he will make sure his little daughter will know that too! I am a stay at home mom who loves juggling the numerous activities and active friends of a kindergartner and most recently a new puppy who loves to chew everything! If I have any spare time I volunteer with my church teaching Sunday School or helping in the nursery, work with charitable organizations such as “Reading is Fundamental”, bake cookies with our son and try to garden. I am very blessed to be home with my son and can’t wait to see all the milestones in our daughter’s future too!

If you decide to select us as parents for your child, please know that she will grow up in a family that will love and cherish her. She will be a very special gift in a family filled with love, fun, warmth and laughter. Thanks for reading our letter and whatever your decision, may you have peace and God’s blessings.
