Gary and Janet

Dear Birthmother,

We can’t thank you enough for considering us as the parents to raise your baby. More than anything, we would like you to know that if you give us this opportunity, your child will be loved and cared for with every breath we take. Please know that by having the courage to make this unselfish decision to give this baby life, and to help us with our dream of raising children, you will be rewarded in knowing that your child will be in a family where they couldn’t possibly be loved more. You have our solemn vow that your child’s health and happiness will be what we live for.

We were both raised in rural farming communities and we are fond and proud of this way of life. Although we are both well educated and could have careers in the big city, we prefer the lifestyle and the ‘community feeling’ of living among our country neighbors. We don’t think there’s a better place in the world to raise children. People here live with the belief that nothing is more important than friends and family. The schools and health care in our community are some of the best in the country. Our families, as well as our neighboring families, have always devoted an abundance of time to teach children ‘old fashioned’ values such as honesty, caring, respect, etc. 

Janet is the most wonderful mother a child could ask for. She is the most caring and understanding person I’ve ever met. Her patience and gentle demeanor are evident in everything she does, but you can see that extra sparkle in her eyes when there’s a child involved. Janet has a very secure position as the CFO of a well-established company. She enjoys what she does and is ecstatic that she is able to work a great deal from home. Janet loves to cook, garden and travel. 

Gary is the love of my life. He is the ‘rock’ amongst our family and friends. He is the one who everyone turns to for help or advice. He’s always there to help, even when people aren’t expecting him. He always seems to have the right answer, or to know how to make a situation better. I think the most amazing thing about him is his ‘way’ with children and animals. They just love him. He has a commanding presence, but is extremely patient and gentle. He spends his days working the ranch and working part-time as a coach for a youth center. You can see in his eyes that he loves what he does. 

After tremendous effort and significant expense we have had to accept that, even with the help of modern technology and fertility experts, our dream of conceiving our own children was not going to come true. But with the help of the wonderful people at Adoption Network Law Center, our dream became a reality with the adoption of our beautiful daughter. We now realize more than ever, how much love for children we have in our hearts, how much we have to give them, and how more than anything in the world we want to continue building our family. We also want to give our daughter the gift of a sibling to love and go through life with. 

We know that this is a difficult decision for you, and we would like you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you as you summon the strength and courage to deal with this challenge in your life. We hope and pray that you’ll give us the opportunity to raise your baby on what is truly a little piece of paradise in Northern California. This precious child would be surrounded by love and beauty.
