Just as some Adoptive Parent(s) may have ethnicity and religious preferences as
well as support limits, so will the Birthmother. During the meetings with a
Birthmother, Adoption Network Law Center receives the Birthmother's preferences and presents to
her the most appropriate profiles (approximately 6-12). Upon reviewing these
profiles, the Birthmother will select a family.
After the Birthmother's selection, Adoption Network Law Center will then provide the selected
family with the background information on the Birthparents. This information
will include: age of Birthmother, ethnicity, complexion, hair color, weight,
height, education, Birthfather situation, religion, support requirements (if
any), gestational period, etc. It is then up to the selected family to decide
if they would like to meet with her. (If distance is an issue, a phone
conference may take place instead.)
