About Kristin A.F. Yellin, Chief Legal Counsel
"My passion to honor the 'family' in family law is what brought me here, and family comes first!"
Kris, the youngest of eight children, was born and raised on Eastern Long Island, NY. Setting her own path, Kris attended the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a degree in Political Science. With her interest in advocacy developing, Kris then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1994.
Kris' legal experience in matters of the family is diverse and extensive. As a Law Clerk with the Los Angeles District Attorney, she tried numerous paternity and child support trials. As a licensed attorney in California, Kris served as counsel for the Juvenile Defenders Office in Orange County, CA, where she represented parents in all phases of dependency litigation. She then became a court-appointed attorney, representing juveniles in criminal matters. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Kris, for over a decade, lectured throughout the United States on all subjects of the Multi-state Bar Exam and counseled thousands of students on exam strategy and efficient study techniques.
Kris currently resides in Southern California along with her husband and their three daughters. Her ties to the community are deep and far-reaching. Kris is active in her local community and school district. She has served as a PTA legislative representative where she advocates for improvements in public education. In addition to coaching her daughter's softball team, Kris also serves as co-captain of Team Trudy - a team of runners dedicated to raising money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer research in honor of her late Mother. When not cheering on her daughters at softball games and swim meets, Kris can be found perfecting her equestrian skills.
Wendy McGreevy - Attorney at Law

Wendy McGreevy earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and her law degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law. As a licensed attorney in California, Wendy went to work as a Deputy District Attorney. During her career as a prosecutor, both in San Luis Obispo and San Diego counties, Wendy tried seventy five jury trials and spent most of her time in the Family Protection Division, prosecuting child abusers and domestic violence offenders. Wendy was a passionate trial attorney who fought for those who needed protection the most. Wendy joined Adoption Network Law Center with a strong desire to be part of a team dedicated to helping build families and make a difference in people's lives.
Bari Brennan - Legal Assistant
"Adoption has been a part of my life since childhood."
As the daughter of an Orange County adoption attorney and growing up with an adopted brother, Bari was touched by adoption from a very early age. Bari is a lifelong resident of southern California, and received her Bachelor’s degree from CSUF. She has worked for 20 years as a Legal Assistant in the adoption field, first assisting her father with his practice for many years, and then in one capacity or another for the last 10 years with Adoption Network Law Center. Bari and her husband will celebrate their 20th anniversary this spring, and they have one son.
Carol Slater – Client Liaison
"It is my passion to be a part of making a difference in a child's life by helping to find their forever family."
Carol Slater has worked with Adopting Families for over 20 years and has an obvious passion for helping build families through adoption as an Adoption Network Law Center Client Liaison. Carol chose to join Adoption Network Law Center in 2010 because Adoption Network Law Center demonstrates the same commitment as she does, to make a difference in a child's life by helping to find their forever family. Carol is a clear example of everything Adoption Network Law Center stands for: integrity, diligence, passion and compassion. It's obvious to those who work with her and to the Adopting Parents she supports, that she truly understands the adoption journey and is magnificent at guiding each of the Adopting Parents through their own journeys.
Danielle Stevens – Client Liaison
"One of my greatest joys is seeing a baby placed in the arms of those who, prior to starting their adoption journey, had lost all hope of ever becoming parents."
After an extensive 17-year career as a Director in the field of vocational education, Danielle Stevens brought her passion for helping people achieve their goals and dreams to Adoption Network Law Center in 2011. Although assisting people with their educational goals was fulfilling, supporting Adopting Parents through their adoption journey has become Danielle’s new passion in life. Danielle has a unique ability to connect with clients and provide the emotional support needed as they await the day they receive that life-changing phone call letting them know a Birth Mother has selected them. Danielle's experience in education has been a tremendous asset to Adoption Network Law Center's clients as she often is called upon to enlighten and educate them about the various stages of their adoption journey. Danielle’s other passions include raising her two children, working on crafting projects, and enjoying camping and fishing trips with her family.
Tammy Ramsay – Adoption Services Supervisor
"Helping create families is not a job, it’s a privilege."
Tammy Ramsay earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development from California State University, Fullerton. She served an internship at Children's Hospital of Orange County providing Recreation Therapy to children with cancer and cystic fibrosis. Tammy was led to adoption through her own struggles with infertility and is an Adoptive Parent herself.
Over the past 7 years at Adoption Network Law Center, Tammy has been involved in creating hundreds of families which she finds deeply fulfilling. Tammy enjoys rollerblading, gardening and spending time with her husband and two children in Southern California.
Judy Silcock - Media Services Supervisor
"It is an honor to be a part of this one little chapter in each family’s adoption story."
Judy came to Adoption Network Law Center in 2013 after spending 10 years at home with her two boys. Finding a spot in the Media Department was a dream come true, combining her Bachelors degree in English and previous writing/editing experience with her passion for photography and photo editing. Add to that the beauty of helping Adopting Parents to accurately and attractively represent themselves to help find their Birth Mother, and it was a perfect fit. Every day she and her team of Media Consultants are honored to get to know each Adopting Family, select just the right photos to represent them, and create beautiful profiles to attract the Birth Mother who will make their family dreams come true.
Heidi Dieguez – Administrative Supervisor

Heidi Dieguez came to work with Adoption Network Law Center in 2008. After working several years with a leading medical facility and relocating to California, Heidi was looking for a meaningful job and had always dreamed of being a part of something as powerful as adoption. As the Administrative Supervisor leading the entire Administration team, Heidi is an integral part of continuously improving the adoption journey for the Birth Mothers as well as the Adopting Parents.
